Volunteerwork for refugees

VCA, Volunteer Centre Amsterdam is committed to new Amsterdammers! We help them find meaningful volunteer work where they can practice the language and develop their talents. By doing voluntary work status holders get the opportunity to build up a social network in an accessible way, to practice the Dutch language, to create a daily rhythm and to make a meaningful contribution. And voluntary organizations can make use of the experience, skills and talents of these new Amsterdammers.

Getting started as a volunteer?

Do you have a refugee background? Would you like to meet new people? Use your skills? Want to practice your Dutch? Build your resume?
You can do that as a volunteer! As a volunteer you can do many things. For example, cook in a neighborhood restaurant with other volunteers, work in a vegetable garden, help with technical jobs or become a coach of a sports team. Volunteers Centrale Amsterdam can help you find volunteer opportunities.
